3.2 Puppet Show (Preschool)

 Today, Febuaury 29, 2024 I went to the Southside Preschool to read a book and do a puppet show that matched up with the book. Over the past few moths I have written a childrens story and created puppets and a backdrop for the puppets. There was positives and negatives to this experience. 

A positve about this experience would be that I went to a class that I observed in last year. All of kids was so happy to see me and I got to see the best teachers. I loved seeing all the littes from last years, and meeting all the sweet new faces. Most of the kids ran up to me as I walked in, running me over. 

Another posotive from this experience is that the students loved the puppets. They kept wanting to hold them. Their favorite thing on their puppets was the pipe cleaners I have put on the sticks. At the end of the story and show I let the students look at the puppets and pass them around. 

A negative about this experience was that I found out my childrens book was not age appropriate for preschoolers. This was okay because it was a good lesson. I now know my story needs to be read to a 3rd grade class at the least. 

Overall this experience was amazing and I enjoyed seeing all the little faces. 

3.2.1 Cricut

In my Education Technology class we got a Cricut. For an assignment we had to come up with different project ideas using the Cricut. There are so many different ideas to choose from. At first, I was thinking more of clothing ideas, but then I thought about stickers, then cars. BUMPER STICKERS. Yes, bumper stickers is a great idea for teachers or students. 

I chose bumper stickers because as I drive down the road almost I feel like I see alot of vehicles with a sticker on the back. Not only is it young drivers with bumper stickers but moms, dads, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandpas, and even babysitters have bumper stickers. A project that we could do for the teachers in our school could be a bumper sticker, of our school colors and name or the teachers name. This could be a good way to show appreciation in our own school. 

If a bumper sticker wouldn't come in a handy then, you could always put the sticker on the back of a computer. Bumper stickers are easy and cheap to make, even a fundraiser using the bumper stickers would be a good idea.
